I though that I'd say hi to everyone, all 19 of you, lol! And tell you a bit about myself. My name is Travis (alias; FlamingYellowInsanity or Aerostudent), I am 20 years old, and I have been riding scooters and MCs for a little more than a year now. My 150cc scooter used to by my daily transportation/racing project, but since I transfered to a different school that is 45 miles each way, I will need something a bit faster, but still good on gas. This is where my Ninja 250 comes in.

I know that in the long run the Ninja will not be saving me a lot of money, but I would rather pay for the fun than for just transportation (I don't really enjoy my cage as much as a cycle), and being a bit more eco-friendly never hurt anyone. I can see that this is a VERY new board, but I hope that it will grow. I agree that V-boards is a great system and I enjoy the familiarity that this settup brings.
About my Ninja: I got it just a few days ago from a private party. it is a 2004, but in excelent condition (few minor scuffs and a small crack in the left front plastics). I got it for $2500 and it had 410 miles when I picked it up, yup, not even broke in yet! I rode it harder than the recomended break-in of 4k rpm, but I had to ride 35 miles on the freeway to get it home, and certainly wasn't going to do 35mph the whole way. Plus, I have had good experience with the hard break-in on other bikes. This bike seems like it will be a hoot to drive once everything gets settled in right. The power that it makes for a 250cc is just insane!!
I now have just a hair over 500 miles and have started on the 500 mile maint. But need to order an oil filter and to learn to adjust the valves on this before I am finished (probably this weekend).
I hope this forum grows like it should. Most forums I have seen start have one or two members and about 5 posts total and then die, so this looks promising, as you already have almost 20 members, and quite a few posts. Here's to sticking aroud a while!!!
