Two 19-year-old men riding a 125cc Trial bike have sustained injuries, one life threatening, as they were thrown from the bike on Buchanan Road in the Parson Cross area of Sheffield.
At around 12.30am this morning, (Friday, 11 July), between the junctions with Collinson Road and Adlington Road, it is believed the rider lost control of the bike as he was travelling towards an oncoming marked police car.
No collision occurred between the two vehicles however both men came off the bike as it became unstable and they were taken to hospital.
One of the men sustained life threatening injuries and is currently in a critical condition.
The second man sustained minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and theft of motor vehicle.
