Sometimes spending an extra $5 is worth the time it takes to machine everything. We live in the age of the interwebs where info is a click away... I'm sure all it takes it finding the right link you want and a quick trip to ebay and you will get what you want.
I used to make all of my own parts but I'd rather just find a part that is mass produced and get it on the cheap cheap on line.
