It was craziest that it happened in the exact same spot 2 hours apart. I'm so glad I'm not allergic. I suppose the bee sting WAS better than my initial thought of having been shot! ha ha!

It amazes me how dang hard those little things hit and how bad they can hurt!! I marvel at the people who wear skull cap helmets and, being next to Idaho, those over there wearing no helmet at all. Besides the obvious safety factor, I can't even phathom how bad those big bugs would hurt hitting your face without a full helmet. and ...the bugs they must eat!! ha ha!

I actually have a theory on that. Its been my observation that a large majority of men who wear skull cap helmets or no helmet tend to have gigantic mustaches and beards. (anyone else notice that trend?) I think that facial hair helps serve as bug catchers of sorts....lol. But I can't imagine how nasty that must be by the end of a ride, if my own visor is any indication.
