Bought an 06/07 gsxr 600 rear shock. According to internet,
The 07 gsxr 600 shock is 317mm with a spring rate of 9.4kg/mm = 525#/in
Anybody know what the stock ninja spring rate is?
I measure:
stock: 320mm long
gsxr600: 317mm long

Install procedure:
- drill out shock on top and bottom. i used a 15/32" drill
- lower fork on the rear shock is narrower, so:
- make some clearance on lower swing-link thing. i used a harbor-freight milling machine. only need to file down a few mm
- same story on the steel pivot cylinder.
- bolt it up. dogbones hit the shock, so you'll need two longer bolts and a handful of spacers

because the shock is shorter, i'm going to make some shorter dogbones. stock dogbones measure about 165mm.
