I do it constantly. IIRC, the GA motorcycle driver's manual even encouraged you to practice it. Either it was that or the MSF BRC coursework (the GA moto manual is based on the BRC). I've seen videos of an over-qualified, experienced, short, and somewhat old, lady who can't touch both feet on any of her numerous bikes and yet she was teaching other short, small, female, students how to pick up super heavy bike after it's been downed and saying that both feet is a confidence thing, not a requirement. The cop was wrong.
