It hard to price, clean newer pre-gens. For this one, I dont think you'ld be out of line asking $2400, and expecting to get something like $2000 - $2200. Also, nobody cares about your helmets and jackets so dont expect them to affect the price of the bike.

Its pretty hard to get $2k+ out of pre gens, when older new gens are creeping toward the $2.5K mark.

Like Eric said, with a new-gen being less expensive to buy now, what with a few model years under its belt, getting a good price for a pre-gen (even in the exceptional condition yours seems to be in) is going to be hard.

I would probably agree with Eric on the pricing, though your best bet will be to check out craigslist in your area and go from there. When I was tasked with having to sell my 250 after finding a ZX I came across and fell in love with, I went the craigslist route. I found that it was going to be much easier for me to have the dealer give me $3K on the trade (price of the bike I purchased was already worked out) than even try to get $2800 from a craigslist sale.

Seriously...

List of $1800 and take $1500 -- if you are serious about selling it. Waiting for the perfect buyer for the perfect price usually turn out to be boneheaded. But then I see it in Craigslist and ebay all the time...

In the long run for most folks, this $200-$300 does not matter. Little ninjas are cheap for a reason, embrace it

Last SEPT, I sold my 2005 Ninja 250 w/12k mi. for $2250.. listed it on Craigslist for $2500, sold within 2 weeks.

In my area, the prices are definitely higher during warmer seasons.

You could probably get $2K in the summer if its in mint condition. The gear will sweeten the deal but only if it actually fits the buyer. When I see ads that include gear, I assume that it doesn't fit.

With the price of gas currently at $4/gallon, people are looking for bikes more now. I would definitely mention that it gets 70 mpg in your craigslist ad.

I offered $2100 for a 2007 EX250 w/ 2100 miles about a month or two ago. Seller wanted $2400, said he had other offers. It's still sitting in his garage.
