Help identify my jacket. Plus boot question
I bought my AlpineStars jacket used off of craigslist. Got it for a great price, fits great, and is comfortable. It's a Textile jacket, armor is all present and in great shape.
My question is can anyone tell me the model/name of the jacket, can't seem to find it on it. Jacket in question: Also, a question about boots. I know a full length boot is usually the recommended style, but would the Vega Merge boots be OK? They seem to get great reviews, I just don't want to get the shorter style if they would be useless in the event if a crash. Being on a college kid with a very low paying job budget sucks and they fit my budget a little better. Thanks |

I wouldn't recommend the Vega Merge boots: too short to prevent ankle twisting and chin damages.

That's what I was worried about. I will probably save a little more and just buy full length boots. Most likely either the Cortech Latigo's or Technik Chicanes.

You can find cheap boots in Cycle Gear or buy used of good quality, if moneys are short.
No idea about the jacket, sorry Some good info here: http://www.bikesafer.com/injury.html http://roadsafety.mccofnsw.org.au/a/75.html
