Talking Finally found mirrors that work

Check out extendz@yahoo.com. They make a mirror for sportbikes that extends out 10". They fit the Ninja without any modification, and take about 10min to install. They are not cheap ($150 a pair) They look real good and extend and retract with ease. You can retract them for lane splitting. Actually, this is the first time in two years that I could see everything behind me. It is a great feeling. I have gone the ZX10R mirror route and that was marginally better. I also stuck on those hokey blind spot mirrors--they are limited. These do the job right. They are very high quality and look nice. I have to borrow a digital and take some pictures of the bike.

Can't wait to see them! That link looks more like just the "email" address and not the website.

Hi Alex - do you have a link to those mirrors? I can't find anything on "extendz mirrors" on google, what comes up is a bit different.

Alex, Cisco found the link and posted it. True, they are not cheap. They are, however, of very high quality, and they do provide an unobstructed view to the rear when they are extended. When parking the bike or lane splitting, they retract farther than the stock mirrors. Adjustment is attained in three places, which makes them adaptable to any sport bike. I have been using them for two days and am much more relaxed when I am in traffic. I would suspect that some other aftermarket manufacturer will come out with a similar product which will drive the price down. They really can't be much more expensive than the stock mirrors from Kawasaki---and these are light years ahead. Construction of the stalk and adjustment sleeve are billet aluminum anodized black. The mirror is glass and the housing is plastic. It is a well put together package. All the hardware is provided including an Allen wrench and some Loctite Blue. You provide the Phillips screwdriver and you are home free. Alex, I do believe they would fit the pre 08 models as well.

I wonder if the set for naked bikes attatch like a cruiser with a single threaded stalk on the handlebars instead of the 2 bolt pedastal?

Myke, I have had them for about four days, and It is a whole "new" bike. The rear view is as good as a cage. Fully retracted they are closer than the stock mirrors--a good feature when the bike is parked or, in our case, garaged. Then the bike needs to scootch in between two cars. I can't believe it took this long to come up with a retractable sport bike mirror. The beauty is that you don't need to modify anything. Two black washers per side (supplied) and the stock mirror bolt, and you are in business. Do read the instructions--especially because you don't want to damage a star washer. You are looking at a 10 minute installation. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver and a 6mm Allen wrench.

I wish they still had the angles of the stock mirrors or had a way to attach them to the same stalks.

I like them alot, The name just adds to the fun! I am a guy who enjoys the simple things in life, thats why i bought a 250. Plus the community is better to.

I just need to do a couple of things before i do this mod, clip-ons and flush mounts. Then mirrors.
