We i me and a few friends and my dad. How the slip on works is instead of putting on the canister you will slip-on a section of three different pipes and an then a canister. Were hoping to finish the prototype in about three weeks and have pictures up. The reason i haven't answered is because i was in school and then i had football then i had to go for a ride!

Thats kindof what were going for. Buy ours isn't going to be over price like there's ($$800). And for some reason they decided not to make them anymore.

I saw something likes this about a year ago. It looks great. My concern would be heat.

It was a pipe covering that came in varying strengths that was designed to shield heat from various types of industrial pipes. You should see if you can find something like that.

I really don't think it would be too difficult. I swear I've seen people touch fiberglas-wraped turbo headers after hard runs when their surface temps would otherwise be like 1200+ degrees. Mufflers (especially on an NA 250cc engine) won't get anywhere near that hot (a few hundred degrees), so shielding them shouldn't be a big deal at all. Whether it is a couple layers of fiberglas or a few pieces of sheet metal clamped over the top of the muffler, a simple solution should exist.

I agree I shouldn't be to hard I have a plan but it will mak the muffler about half an inch taller. But the main concern was the pipe and now I think we've got that covered

I love the look of these, but I assume they won't do anything for performance.... I would think that all that extra pipe = more back-pressure.

For heat shielding look into Carbon-X. You can get it in fabric form, and apply it to any surfaces you want to protect. We have used it on carbon fiber race car parts (chassis and suspension), works great. As a test we covered our hands with it and held it to a propane torch and didn't get burned. It is kind of pricey, but works well.

Aluminum pipe? Makes more sense to use stainless like the rest of the system.

I probaly will use stainless. The pics arnt sure when they will come. Probaly sunday night is when we think we will finish the pipe. And not until the week after that will the muffler be made but could be sooner. I know that we will start selling them the week after we finish the prototype If all goes well
