WTT: new gen gas tank

So here's my story...

When I bought my bike, the PO informed me it was originally red. He wanted a black one, so he go new plastics from china, and painted the tank black. I think he just took a krylon can to it (it looked horrible), so this weekend, being the adventurous type that I am, was going to paint it so it looked better. Anyway, I spilled gas on the tank, and the black paint just peeled right off, and underneath was a shiny red tank without a scuff on it. Turns out the PO didn't primer it or scuff it up for the paint to stick.

So my question is this, is there anyone out there in ninjette land that has a black gas tank that they might want to sell or trade for a great looking red one? I would change it back to a red bike but a black gas tank is cheaper than red fairings, and I don't want the cheap ones from the east...

Is the 54t sprocket the stock sprocket?

It'll probably need to be done in two transactions. Buy a tank, sell a tank.

Alternatively, many racers have race fairings and could care less about the color of their tank, but they also aren't looking for these threads, so you'll have to find them and pay them something to make the exchange worth their while.

Is it Passion or Sunbeam red?

I'm not sure which red it is. It's the stock from 2009. Looks like a lighter red. (I think sunbeam)

I'm currently trying to talk to a guy here who has a 250 rental business, but he's out of town for a while and wanted to see if there was a quicker option.

I appreciate you help man.
