Set Me Straight on 13T Front Sprockets
Okay, here's the skinny:
I want to run some combination of aftermarket sprockets for my '11. I can't seem to get any answers on whether or not shimming for a 13T front is either: 1) Mandatory 2) Highly recommended Can someone please set me straight. I should note that this bike is intended for the track.

when i attempted to do 13t the info i got is yes.. because they dont make a 13t for the 08+ so you need to buy one for a pre gen and they require a shim supposedly.. dont go off amazon 13t either, when i googled 13t sprocket for the 250 the main one to buy is through amazon, well it doesnt even fit the 250..it was for a honda or something, part #'s are all mixed up. go to jt sprockets site and get the part# there.. only place i found to get one was the dealer had to order it from jt.

Thanks for the info. Below is what I've got lined up. I just need to find a source for the shim.

If you search I just had a thread on 13 t sprockets. The shim I was told to use is in that thread. It's a inner transmission washer that fits the shaft the sprocket goes on. Believe you can get from bike bandit.
