2003 Ninja 250 Clutch Basket Replacement!!

Hello all, new member here, a buddy of mine has a ninja 250 that is suffering from the classic ninja clutch knock. It has gotten quite loud, to the point where it is much louder than the exhaust, and has made it almost unrideable. My question is, how do I remove the clutch basket? I have found many sites showing how to replace the plates, but I am sure that is not the problem here. Is it something you can do in a day or is it more serious? What is involved/what tools would I need?

Thanks!

Yeah I did see those, but they don't really help me all that much. He has a new basket, all I need to do is remove the old one and install the new one. From what I've been able to find out so far it seems that once you remove the pressure plate and springs there is a large nut holding the basket in place, and you have to use an impact driver to get it off. That's pretty much all I know so far.
