ADJUSTABLE clip-ons, Telefix, video

Hi

I just got my Telefix adjustable clip-ons (they make two type; I have the "profi" model)

I have a 2011 250SE, green
The angle of the stock bars hurt my hands and made my thumbs go numb I experimented with changing my grip, gripping more loosely, which helped, but not enough. I did a fairly exhaustive search for some adjustable bars, not necessarily clip-ons. These are what I found. There really doesn't seem to be anything else-clip-on or otherwise-that will allow you to adjust the bars the way these do. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if someone else does know of something

Any way, I got these form "Wild Hair Accessories" (http://www.whaccessories.com/Handle%20Bar%20Telefix.htm)
They seem to be very nice people to deal with.

These videos aren't the greatest, but I hope they convey the concept. I think they are really neat, and I wanted to share

I'm in the process of installing them now, so I'll post more videos and comments later.

They may be expensive, but they'll be priceless if they keep my hands from hurting and going numb and allow me to enjoy riding a lot more.

If your hands are going numb, I don't see how new clip ons will help. Try loosening your grip and using your butt/legs/knees to support your weight.

This. I was able to adjust the woodcrafts plenty. I just run into problems with the plastic when I try to get them where I really want them. I want to remove the inner fairing eventually so I can go a little lower. I just miss the position I had on the RC.

Thanks.

Loosening my grip and not putting my weight on the bars as much DID help, but the bar itself still presses against the metacarpal-phalangeal joint of my thumb. If I really bow my arms out I can make it much more comfortable for my hands but not a very practical position otherwise.

Anyway, I'm excited about them, I hope they help, and I wanted to do a project on my bike. So far I'm enjoying it.

Will post more after I ride.

Thanks again

when i started riding (earlier this year) my thumbs used to hurt as well. I realized that i had my hands budded right up against the controls so I started holding the grips about an inch away from the controls so that my thumbs had room and it totally did the trick.

might help for you too.

Make sure your gloves aren't causing the problem too. Setasai found that his gloves were actually inducing the numbness in his hands.
