A&L Rearset adjusters Group Buy!!!

Talked to Tony over at A&L about possibly starting a group buy! He said lets do it I'm going to guess that it will be the same as the last group buy. 1% for each person up to 20% off. So if 15 people buy by the deadline only 15% off. But if 30 people buy it would be 20% off. Lets hope if we get more then 30 people they will sweeten the deal We will see what Tony says

A note from Tony: "on the Ninja 250 rearsets, I have gotten a few people that had a fitment problem. It seems that some bikes have the shifter side bolts that are up to 1mm off. This is happening about 1 out of 10 bikes. (so just a few) Hopefully tomorrow or the next day, I'm going to make an adjustment to the 250 rearsets to allow for this manufacturing difference."

Not a huge deal for something that can be fixed! So lets get a list together and see whos in

1. kaiserz (blemished set)
2. Bnnttdrew
3. Mad-B-Man (blemished set)
4. Dr.Ew
5. Domagoj
6. DarC
7. Live2ride (blemished set)
8. 08ninja250 (blemished set)
9. Scotty (blemished set)
10.wellcraft (blemished set)
11.EvoXNinja(blemished set)
12.infinitethrill(blemished set)
13.Cwt
14.Green Streak (if it hits 20)
15.dubojr1 (maybe, if it hits 20)
16. bob706
17. Bigballsofpaint
18. maxwellca21
19. randizzle

Tony if you could give us times of how long the group buy will be open for and what the conditions and discounts are that would be great!

It comes with the shift link? I'm guessing I don't have to buy anything else for me to install it, right?

I usually don't post here, but since I have been considering these, I guess I'll join in.

These do also fit pregens right? It seems that at least 1 person here has bolted it up to his F model.

What are you guys thinking for time frame? Is a month starting today too long?

Hi Guys,

Shipping for a small box is about $6.50 with insurance. (in the USA) Outside of the USA it's about $12 to Canada, and Mexico... and $14 to most of the rest of the world.

As far as the adjusters... if we can get 5 people... I'll give you 10%. If you get 12 people Ill give 15%, and if you can get 20 people... I'll give 20%

As far as a time frame, that's up to you guys... but I need a little time to get the parts tweaked. As you can see from the pictures that were posted... there is a small percentage of bikes that have a mounting hole that is about 1mm off. (I think it's the bikes coming from Canada) In the +200 ninja adapters that A&L and CycleControl has sold... about 10 ~12 people have reported a problem.

I need to make a new batch, and send them to the anodizer... so I will need about 2 weeks to get new stock ready to ship.

You guys take as much time as you need to get a list together, and tell me when you are ready. At that point... I will start to processes the orders, and they will normally ship the day after the payment is received. The way it will work is that I will give you guys a coupon code based on how many people get on the list. And I will keep the code active for a couple weeks. (so you will have time to align with your payday)

If you have anymore questions... just yell.

Kevin2109: Keep your list on the first post updated for me. Thanks.

I will get my web guy to do it before we finalize the price. Also, I just checked USPS, and yes, it will be $14 (usd) for shipping to Croatia.

If it's the old body style... then no, I don't think they will fit. But when I get into the shop today, I will give you the bolt mounting dimensions, and you can check on your bike.

I was checking the Canada, and the Euro site, and I didn't see the ZZR250. (250H) It may have been discontinued for 2011.

Was in Canada from 2000-2007. Previously was in Europe and far east before that. This is the one with the aluminium frame.

ok... I found some pics of it. From the pics... I can say... No, it's not going to fit the "H" or ZZ-R 250. It looks like the mount has a bend/angle in it, and these adjusters are more or less straight.

A set could be made... but unless I have a bike sent to me to test fit parts... the R&D/Prototypes could get expensive. (sorry)

The previous owner of my Ninja crashed on the left side and bent the frame where the rearset bolts on. I've been weary of trying to bend it back for it might break the mounting points. On the otherhand, I' d can't leave it alone because the rearset is getting close to touching the swingarm. Do you think I could bend this rear set adjuster to compensate for the bend in the frame? If is a 50/50 chance, I'd go in on this buy.

There's no way. These adjusters are thick. Have you considered using some washers as spacers?

Can these be had in natural finish/silver?? If not I don't mind painting but if I don't have to then...

I have thought it over and have decided to use the adjusters and some other creative talents to revamp the stock rear sets to look and feel like a $$$$ set of aftermarkets. I suppose you could count me in.
