DIY: Installing Universal Mirrors with turn signal leds
First you will need the mirrors. You can buy that here:
http://shop.the2wheels.com/Integrate...-Bike-085B.htm Tools: - The original bike tools kit. - A drill - Mark pen - black tape - Sandpaper First of all, need to remove the two sides body fairings. If you want more space, remove the front too. The screws from the universal mirror dont fits in the bike holes: So we need to use the original ones. But the original base are thin. To fix that, just remove a little plastic from the new mirror base with the sandpaper rougher is better: Now you can put the new mirrors in the old base. New problem... Where the hack can I put that wires? With the drill I made a little hole in the fairings. Use the mirror base to check where you will drill and mark with the pen, then, drill the hole: All right. Now, put the wire and before screw the mirror because with the mirror fixed, could be more difficult to put the wires. After that, just need to join the mirror's wire with the original turn signal wires. Black with orange and red with the green. Final result: Sorry dont have more pictures. Little hard to work and shoot pictures at same time alone. lol If anything are badly explained, please, let me know. My english is a little lame to technical words. I hope you all enjoy that.

good job! they look good too.
are these mirrors longer than the stock ones? meaning can you actually use them pretty good and not see your elbows all the time. |

Almost the same size. A few little. But the mirror have some distortion.
that helps to enhance a little the view.

Sorry man, new pics just when I disassemble the bike again
but I promise, I will take new photos to fill the gap in the tutorial, like the wires passing through the new hole and the dual turn signals connection. Next mouth I will put some body leds, so I'll take that pics.

I see in the picture that you have installed the mirror indicator and flushmount leds.
How do you do the wiring? |

Easily, you explose the wires and splice the new ones in to the turn signal wires. That having been said I bought the exact mirrors from the site listed in the OP. The LEDs look good, the mirrors look great though they don't give you quite the same field of view.
The quality however..... is crap. I tapped on a trash can while walking the bike and it snapped at the stalk. The other one snapped at the stalk in a highside when i rear ended a car doing about 10 mph, didn't touch the car - just popped off from the force. Stick with stock... |

I installed the diode kit onto the bulb in my dash. I have an electronic relay and went to test out to see if the turn signals worked.... Right side came on fine and everything was blinking at the same time. As soon as I switched over to the left side they all went out and I saw I figured out that I blew a fuse. Replaced the fuse and the same thing happened. What am I doing wrong?
Here are the LEDS I have: -Integrated tail light -Flush mount turn signals -Integrated turn signals on mirrors. All stock turn signals have been removed. Help!! |

You installed it on to the bulb on your dash? That doesn't sound right... Did you look at the DIY of the install for the no-cut diode kit and follow that? The reason all 4 are blinking is because the diode isn't being used effectively. I had an issue with blowing fuses when I had exposed wires touching, did you do any sloppy splicing?

If you decide to go back to stock does the hole (where you drilled for the wires) show?
