Cortech

Cortech makes a rather nice set of sport tail bags that I have purchased for use on my bike. The Sport Tail Bag may be used alone, or in conjunction with the Sport Saddle Bags. Due to the placement of the rear signals, the bags do sit up towards the rider a bit, but I don't find it to be cumbersome or impairing in any way. I chose to route one of the straps under the passenger seat to give myself a little extra assurance in the security of the mounting. Replacing the rear signals with an integrated tail light or flush-mount signals would allow the bags to sit more towards the rear of the bike.

Cortech Super Mini Tank Bag

I also have the Cortech Super Mini Tank Bag mounted that I use to carry personal items and a map in the top map pocket. I think that it is the perfect size to carry a few items without being too big as to get in the way. I use the magnetic mounting with the safety tether, but there is also a strap-mount version available. The magnets are strong enough on the magnetic version, that I can lift the tank off of the ground by the handles, and the magnet doesn't let go.

Product Features of the Super Mini Tank Bag, taken from the Cortech Site, include:

  • 1680D Ballistic nylon exterior
  • Clear-Vu snap map pocket
  • Heavy-duty large tooth zippers
  • Scotchlite® 3M reflective Tour Master logo
  • Top flap internal organizer pocket
  • Drawstring closure rain cover
  • TPR Zipper Pulls
  • Tricot interior lining
  • Rubberized carrying handle
  • Shielded magnetic mounting system
  • Safety tether strap
  • Protective non-slip / non-scratch mounting base
  • Easy access top load main compartment
  • 10"L x 8"W x 5"H (Approx) (6.5 Liter Capacity)

Mounting instructions for the Super Mini Tank Bag can be found on the Cortech site.
