I don't know if anyone knows much about Honda's Hawk GT, but it was a pretty unique bike for it's time. This is the only pic I could find of mine - a 1989 model. This was taken "a while ago". I did most of my first time learning on an old single-cylinder Honda but this is what I consider my "first bike". Wish I still had her!

Are they the ones that had a single sided swingarm? They were called the Revere in Europe, they had a few differences but were pretty much the same bike, kinda remind me of an old Ducati.

a member on here k-os is currently building up 2 of these, an 88 and 89, i believe one has a F4i front and the other a 929 front. i saw them myself in person over the weekend when i went to pick up a corbin seat from him. and they look pretty badass! i'm sure k-os will post up some pictures and more details when he is finished.

Ground clearance on the right side is really hindered by the canister. Also the gains they show don't really reflect what you'd be getting. Their "stock" dyno results are pretty low for a stock Hawk.

My 1988 as it was last Summer. Ducati 748 subframe, tail, and tank, CBR954 Front end, Supertrapp headers with M4 exhaust canister, now has R6 rearset with custom CNC'd rearset adjusters, Koso RX-2N Gauge, VFR 8 spoke rear wheel, Need to finish up electrical work and getting it painted and parts powdercoated.

My 1989 that I picked up in pieces. CBRF4i front end recently rebuilt by myself, VFR 5 spoke rear wheel, Two Brothers Full Exhaust, Tyga Rearsets, powdercoated frame, subframe, and swingarm, Needs to have assembly finished up. Carbs need to be cleaned and jetted and mounted. Rear wheel to be stripped and powdercoated (it's just painted right now).

Yeah, I think it had a single swing arm... funny you mentioned Ducati - I always described it as "like a Ducati".

Yeah - tassles - really - a gift from one of the Harley guys I used to ride with - it was a tradition. I passed them on to another new rider eventually.

I knew there was kind of a cult following for these bikes. Love my 650, but still think about the Hawk!

they staggered the crank so it fires like a 90 degree twin without the 90 degree cylinder placement. I've raced and owned them over the years. Sold my last one to get a Superhawk and it wasn't the same around town.

To make their offset and v angle equal 90 degrees? I don't think Honda claimed they invented it.

Ducati Hawk pretty much finished. Just needs to have some electrical cleaned up, tank re-lined with Caswell, and tank and tail painted. Will probably get this stuff done next season.

No passenger pegs on this bike. The biposto seat was the original tail that I bought and then I got a monoposto seat a little later.

how well does the seat mesh with the tank stock?
I haven't tried the tail with the stock tank. I suspect the proportions would be off quite a bit. The Ducati tail is really wide comparatively to the stock Hawk tank.
