View Full Version : Washed, and new exhaust installed!
mattmosphere88 April 7th, 2012, 07:40 AM I've had my 250 SE for about 2 months now, and I wanted to give her a little extra noise. I had been researching the big-name brands like Akrapovic, M4, Yoshimura, etc. One of my buddies has a Ninja 650 and has a Delkevic shorty pipe on his and it sounds awesome.
He recommended Delkevic (a brand I had never heard of before) and to my surprise it was only $220 on eBay... Holy crap am I happy with the results. The installation was a breeze, my bike weighs 15 pounds less, looks slick, and it sounds like a BEAST. Almost as loud as my friend's 650.
I will be making an idle/rev video soon, but it sounds just like an Akrapovic slip-on. Before are some before and after pics of it.

That thing looks great and the price is awesome too! Get a video up because I'm seriously interested in picking one up for myself!
btw, exactly which model is that one, because there are quite a few for the 250 on their site
mattmosphere88 April 7th, 2012, 08:31 AM Thanks! I would definitely recommend it. The install was easy but the clamp they send with the pipe was a piece of crap so I just used the stock clamp :D
This is the exact same pipe I got from eBay, go figure the price dropped $15 after I buy it. There are different sizes and material (stainless or carbon fiber) on eBay if you search "ninja 250 delkevic".

codestp202 April 7th, 2012, 10:15 AM The only thing is it says not for street use, is it really that loud?

Yeah, it's throaty as hell. No louder than a Harley, and they never get pulled over. If I pass a cop I just upshift.

That thing sounds awesome! I think I found what exhaust I'll be getting :D
choneofakind April 12th, 2012, 08:16 AM it says "not for street use" because technically it's illegal to modify any part of your intake/exhaust/jetting and there are laws regarding the volume level of exhausts...
but no one ever listens to those.
mattmosphere88 April 12th, 2012, 09:07 AM Yeah, it's just disclaimer to cover their asses so that people don't rage at them if they get pulled over. Not gonna lie, it's loud as hell but I love it!
