I have a swiss army backpack that I think came from Costco. It looks OK and it works well enough to pick up a couple light grocery items. However after commuting with my laptop a couple times I dont recommend it as it felt real heavy on the shoulders.

I did try on the Joe Rocket Blaster and the Ogio No-Drag and Less Drag which all felt and looked good. At the time however I couldnt convince myself to buy one. After my commuting experience I'm going to check those 3 out again. (this time I'll bring my laptop too)

I dont like how those looks that much :/

Im not concerned with drag either since i ride and SM and there isnt any tucking involved...

Im thinking about this (http://www.revzilla.com/product/alpinestars-tech-aero-backpack) one.

I use THIS one. (http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/9/189/33716/ITEM/Moose-Racing-Expedition-Backpack.aspx?SiteID=SLI|Moose%20Expedition&WT.MC_ID=10010) It has a laptop pocket, which I have never used. I also like the waterproof cover and the bag itself is fairly water resistant.

Yeah I kinda like that one. Looks like its not to big.

I love my sandpiper of california long range bugout bag. about 100 liters of storage capacity, I have had 140 or so pounds in it and it held up (I have yet to max it). It has a waist and chest buckles to keep things in place when you are on a bike.

I have ridden in the rain, leather gloves soaked through, stuff in the bag was still dry.

http://www.campingsurvival.com/lorabubagbab.html (first link in google dunno if its the best price or even a good store to buy from)

To big, I just need one for my commute and around town riding since I dont have a even a baby trunk on this think. lol I have to have everything on my back including my reg, and stuff.

I use a cargo net to attach my helmet to the molle webbing, its big enough when empty to hold my gloves, prosthesis and jacket with armor and still have a bit of room for a few smaller items without expanding it.

If expanded I can do a weeks worth of groceries. Because it is long enough it sits on the seat with me so it does not tire me out unless I do not have the chest strap buckled. The wind on the arm straps without the chest strap tends to tire my arms out.

Whatever you get I strongly recommend at least a chest strap to keep the arm straps in place while riding. I somewhat recommend a waist strap but that is less important in my opinion (I like it to keep the bag secure in a turn).

yeah chest strap is a must.

I have a really awesome Kelty backpack which I'm using now to carry groceries and other little things. I got it for free from a Coors Light promotion LOL. But it probably runs something like $75-100.

Waterproof, plenty of space, separate pouch for laptop, exterior harness type thing to hold shoes/boots (wouldn't recommend to use this while on the bike, for obvious reasons lol), and a whole host of other pockets. Also has chest and waist straps. Very comfortable unless it's loaded up with heavy odd shaped items!

Seeing how you were the first reply in the thread, I'm assuming you still like it. After roughly six months, everything has held up greatly. I love it :)

Have you considered a tank-bag that doubles as a backpack?

This is what I use, different color, but I got it at Bass Pro Shop for 92 dollars. I used it every day for 4 years in college, have used it as a camping backpack on mutiple weekend hikes and mountain bike trips and now use it as my carry all on a daily basis back and forth to work. Has nice chest and waist straps to keep it in place (when hiking, biking or on my motorcycle). Quality is top notch, I can attest because I've put it through hell. Not even a frayed stitch has come off. And I love the large mesh pocket on the outside to throw things in and retrieve them quickly. WIll hold a 15" laptop no problem and also use the laptop pocket and headphone port for a couple of camel bak bladders that hook nicely to the shoulder straps.

I seriously love this backpack.

try looking up timbuk2, they are a bay area company that specializes in backpacks meant for bicycle riding meaning that the backpack is meant to be worn in a riding position. i have one and love it...not to mention some come with sleeves. i bought mine for 80 on amazon, came with the sternum strap. just recently bought another one on sale for $50 on amazon also but this one didnt come with the sternum strap....highly recommend this brand.. did i mention they have a lifetime warranty?
