Has everyone had the satisfaction of replacing your old stained scratched splatted windscreen on your helmet with a crisp fresh new one?

I just changed mine out after wearing my tinted trashed old screen for two years and it is so nice! Still keeping the old one as a back up . I am cheap like tht

Put the old one in the dishwasher. The mild abrasive in Comet and similar dishwasher detergents polishes up old shields much better than one might think.

Is this safe if its tinted? Not too abrasive that it would affect the tint right? I guess it's probably meant to endure much worse than dish soap now that I think of it...

I'd think it would be OK if it was tinted like a smoked visor; I'd be more worried if it was mirrored. Basically, I would never have done it with a new visor or one I cared about, but I tried it with one that I thought was too scratched up to ever want to use again, and the dishwasher restored it more than I would have thought possible.
