View Full Version : Starting Givi E52 mount mock-up

So I won a FJR1300 mount with the included Monokey mounting plate on Ebay last week, and it's en-route, so I thought I'd start working on how to get it mounted. I've already pulled the rear footrests as I'll never have a passenger on the back of this bike (I have a Concours 14 with a custom seat, there's no reason to ever carry my wife on the Ninja), so I figured I'll just use the seat pan from the rear seat to mount the rack and plate. Interested in how the bike would look with the monster Givi installed, I went ahead and pulled the cover and padding from the seat and placed the case on top. I realize it will sit about 1-1.5" higher, but based on the mount angle, I don't think I'll try and 'correct' the mount so the case sits horizontal. We'll see. Here's a couple of mockup photos, I'll shoot more as I work this along in order to document the process:

I did this about six months ago and I love it so much I almost never pull it off
