We've been to several trackdays with Elena; she's incredibly quick. I hope she does real well in the Red Bull series, and continues to move up the ranks quickly...

Have they announced any other selections?

There was a kid at the races in Nashville in September on a Ninja 250 who was real, real fast. Dillion was his name, and he was heading to Barber the following weekend for the Rookies Cup tryouts. He used to race flat track with the Hayden cousins, and it was his first weekend roadracing. He's a really fast kid, and I hope he made the cut.

I hope she does well. I know I'll be following the races.

They are still listing the 2008 riders, but there's a note saying the 2009 riders should be up soon. If Elena can already come out with a press release about her selection, the rest should be up soon...

They just cancelled the US version of the series, and scaled back the original European-based series as well. Rumor is that KTM pulled out.

Yeah, I was bummed when I found out today. Luckily Benny Solis is going to MotoGP rookies. But I wanted to see Elena get out there with the boys.

Alex, not him but a kid about his age on a similar bike! That video is awesome though. I watched a few times before. Fast little bastard!
