View Full Version : Firearms thread! Post em if 'ya got 'em!
Cochese December 21st, 2008, 04:16 PM Why don't we have a thread devoted to firearms already?!?
Here we are folks!
This is the official firearms thread. Let's kick it.
I may take some newer hi-res shots in the next few days, but here is what I have saved...
My Heckler & Koch Universal Sevice Pistol, chambered in .40SW...
This was my first duty gun issued to me by my first department in 2004. We transitioned to SigSauers a year later. In 2004, this was given to me new in the box. It was a variant 4 DA/SA with no safety. When we transitioned, I bought it from the department for $385! This is an $800 firearm for those who may not be familiar with them. I have since converted it to variant 9, which is single action only. I also added a ambidex safety lever since I shoot both. Strapped to the bottom is a Surefire light adapter and a Streamlight TLR-2 light and laser. This is stored in a DAC SportSafe next to my side of the bed.

The Sig 226 they made me carry...

This is my duty gun, a Glock model 34, chambered in 9mm Luger. I've added TruGlo TFO sights, a Storm lake ported barrel and it has a stippling job on the frame. It also has a worked over trigger...

Here is my back up gun and usual off-duty carry piece...
A Glock model 26, also 9mm. Takes the larger magazine of my duty gun should the need arise.

My Kel-Tec P3AT.
I've customized this gun to no end, including a full stipple job. (I do all of my own work nowadays as a factory Colt and Glock Armorer)
I also made the branded pocket holster out of a case the gun came with! :D

Alex December 21st, 2008, 05:46 PM We all get different ones, so I hadn't seen that one yet. But Google tries to put relevant ads on each page, so for threads that talk about firearms, there will be more firearm-related ads. Pretty uncanny how well the Adsense stuff works actually. If anyone ever sees any ads that they feel shouldn't be here at ninjette.org, PM me and I can block those specific ones. Also, remember that members here can choose to block all ads if they like right from their control panel. I leave them on myself because every once in awhile they let me know about something I hadn't seen before.

TomB1956 December 21st, 2008, 06:26 PM I retired as a special agent, US Treasury, last year and turned in my Glock 22 (the agency does not allow the sale of service firearms to agents....sucks, I know). I now carry a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm. When I started my career in 1983, I was issued a S&W snub nose .38 for duty carry. We switched to the Sig Sauer P228 in 1991 or '92 and then to the Glock 22/23 about 6-7 years before I retired. My plans are to buy a Glock 26 for concealed carry when I go back to work for a private firm next month. No pics yet. Nice set up Cochese...
KJohnson21 December 21st, 2008, 06:28 PM Wow, that's a nice group of guns!
The earlier picture of your "bedside collection" was pretty nice too.
My modest offering:
Beretta 92 (I think it's a 92F, but I don't feel like opening the safe to find out.)
Walther PP, .32 auto (retired from German police issue)
Tanfoglio TZ75 (the slide release is broken!)
IMI Desert Eagle, Mark I, .44 Magnum (need to get extended control kit)
Remington 11-87
sorry, no pictures

You will enjoy your G26. Pick up some pierce +0 pinky extensions if have big hands like me.
I'd grab a 33 round 9mm mag or two as well before they hit $40!

It's a great rack! It's usually on sale at Sportsmans Guide.
I got it on sale for $29.95 a year ago. It's up to $50, but worth every penny.

NJD022588 December 23rd, 2008, 01:10 AM Nice Kuro! I have one of those too.
I do enjoy going to the range with friends. The most badass of the guns we shoot most are an AR-15 (first gun I ever shot) and a KRISS 16" CRB/SO. I dont ever plan to own a gun though...
workdaddy December 23rd, 2008, 10:04 AM Cochese... Great Choice of Guns.... All 4,oo2 of them. I will try and get pics, but I have the Glock 26 as well as that lil KelTek P3At (.380) but my question to you is.... Where did you get the handles cut up like that? Me Likey!... Oh and Fobus makes a side paddle holster for that lil guy as well. FYI I love mine.
islanderman7 December 23rd, 2008, 11:42 AM Nice Collection. I don't have pictures at the moment but I own the following:
Glock 17
Springfield XD 45ACP 4"
AR 15 20"
10/22 Ruger 40th (my favorite gun)
Baby Eagle .22LR
My next gun that I really want is a 22 LR Ruger Mark III
I like how you're ready for zombies.:p Someday I'll be there when I finish my schooling.
Kurosaki December 23rd, 2008, 01:45 PM Nice Kuro! I have one of those too.
I've killed many a duck in my day.
Sailariel December 23rd, 2008, 03:22 PM Cochise, I have an Oneida Screaming Eagle Compound Bow with which I can shoot a 3" group at 30meters. For anything closer, a 14" Randall Bowie Knife tops off my aesenal. Have a very Merry Christmas and thank you for your service as a police officer. It is an exceptionally tough and dangerous job--be safe.

I sent you a PM, but...
Thanks for the post. The technique is called stippling. It's done with a heat source such as a wood burning tool or soldiering iron.
Here are a couple of threads at Glock Talk that will tell you all about it! ;)

There was a guy named Gary Wendell at Wendell Tactical Concepts that did a couple for me before I learned myself, but he may be out of business.
This guy goes by Bowie on Glock Talk. He is doing it now too...

Beware the old guy with only one compound bow... he knows how to shoot it... and he's a survivor.
;)
Thank you sir.
FlamingYellowInsanity December 23rd, 2008, 10:19 PM I have a few, both are old and passed down from my grandfather.
-an old, break barrel, single shot 12 gauge shotty
-an old, bolt action 22 rifle
also a few less sophisticated ones include:
-the potato cannon me and my friends made, we can launch a potato several hundred feet using ingredients found from walmart and home depot! :D
-the blowdart gun made from a 6ft long 1" PVC pipe with darts made from 3" nails and ducktape! Very powerful at close ranges and also fairly accurate as well!
One of these days I will get my desert eagle!
I love the bow, wish I could get a decent one and leard how to use it better than I do now. I've always loved archery, but never had the money to get a decent bow.

Bsmith January 7th, 2009, 01:17 AM Hmmm it appears that we share more than just one hobby. Expensive ones at that. I have a couple of USPs in 40S&W variant 1. A Bushmaster XM15E2S Dissapator. A 22mag bolt and 410 shotgun. The wife has a ruger p89 and a ladysmith .38 and assorted rifles. I also reload or used to. Haven't set up since we moved.
zartan January 7th, 2009, 01:29 AM I would love to have this. Ruger Sp101 concealed is legal here in WA.
but until I can learn to remember where my keys,Driver's Licence etc. are and not lose 3-4 debit cards a year ( ok that was only one year, not every year and the dog ate one not my fault.) Throttle Rocket says "no way."

Other than that, just a 10/22 with a Houge stock at home. More than that is just plans...
TnNinjaGirl January 9th, 2009, 04:18 PM Just down to one gun now. Had an SKS and a .380 pistol. This one is for squirrel, birds, robbers and cheating boyfriends.
