I asked the dealer today when he expected any aftermarket stuff for the 300, he said he thought it'd be months.

I'd like to be able to have mine race-ready by Nov, but think I'll need:

stainless brake line up front;
Frame sliders and spools;
rearsets;
full exhaust or slip-on;
bazzaz, pc or equivalent;
and track plastics a la sharkskinz or hotbodies.

If anyone has a source for these items, lemme know pls.

Stainless lines are pretty generic, and could probably be ordered now if you gave them the required length. My hunch is that any lines for the 08-12 would be identical, but no guarantees. Rear spools are standard M10 size, so anything for the new-gens will work there as well.

No info yet on framesliders, but it looks like there will at least be an official kawi accessory for them, so that means aftermarket support as well at some point. Same with exhaust and PC; clearly they will be ready at some point, hopefully soon.

M4 has slipons for the 300 on ebay at the moment

Yeah, I'm not seeing much of anything even on Fleabay for the 300 yet, I'm sure it'll eventually gain support, but pretty empty atm.:rolleyes:

The bolt would fit in the hole on the bike, it is the correct size. But, I'm not sure if the diameter of the spool is small enough to fit under the swingarm. It also looks like the place where the stand would sit on that spool would be very close to the outside surface of the swingarm, and I wonder if it would be too close, and perhaps scrape it. The ones I got (just picked them up from the parts dept at the shop), have more of a spacer to put where the stand arms sit perhaps 1/3 to 1/2 inch further out. You could likely do the same thing with the spools you linked by adding a spacer. I wish I had the manufacturer of the ones I bought, it was some no-name accessory brand; it wasn't any factory kawasaki part. I can look when I get back to the shop for the first service.

i like the look of the '13 stock exhaust. i wonder if the midpipe is the same size as the 250?

OK, I just called to confirm the model. The spools I am using on the 2013 Ninja 300 are the Keiti Mini Swingarm Spools. While it's not clear from the picture, the way the bolt goes in is with the head of the bolt on the thin part of the spool, so that thick part of the metal is what is closest to the spool boss on the swingarm. Then the part where the stand fits is further outboard, enough so that there is clearance for the stand to not interfere with the swingarm. The only downside to these spools is that the space to hold the stand is quite narrow, so the stand has to have its arms exactly the right distance apart; there is almost no fudge factor allowed, like there is for spools that have wider mount areas. I was thinking of replacing them with ones from PitBull directly, but I'm starting to appreciate that these look quite clean and small, and work perfectly fine as long as the stand is configured correctly.

I bought the Pit Bull 10mm Spools part # F0023-000 in Black. They fit perfectly. They come with a spacer just in case but I did not need to use it.

yeah surfer, I actually followed your link for the Pitbull spools, I like the idea of having sliders back there too, has anyone tried the Delcron sliders on the spool? I guess equally tight margin of error for the stands, but good to have extra protection back there too.

The pipe will fit into your stock header but the bracket to hold it on may not reach. If it is not adjustable you will need to get a little piece of metal to adapt to it

I'm excited to see what AP can come up with. The dyno for the Leo Vince is a little disappointing; not only is the bump less appreciable than I expected with a full system, but I'm totally not willing to DROP the torque curve below 5krpm. It's already a bit anemic down there, so intentionally losing power at a weak point seems bad; definitely not something I'll pay a lot for.

Not much info except a dyno. Who knows what kind of tuning was done with the exhaust. I agree though I am waiting for AP.

I took this off my 09 Ninja 250R and put on my 2013 300. It sounds soooo good on the 300 even better than the 250. I also have the jardine GP1so I put it on my 250R. Enjoy!

and here's the youtube video that Two Brothers made. Look at the power gains. If that's what can be done with a slip-on, I can't wait to see what can be done with a full system. They got 38.26 HP out of the slip-on vs 35.53 with the stock system, and the peak carries further without dropping off. Surprisingly, the Two Brothers can doesn't seem loud. It looks to be a longer can than those for other bikes. Finally, Two Brothers makes a can that's not redonculously loud. They look sick. My complaint is the dB level.

Looks like the 300 gets 2.73 horse from a slip-on. I bet more from a full system with larger diameter pipes and whatnot.

This is the dyno chart from Area P for the Slip-on that fits the 01-05 GSXR600-750. You can see a 7 hp improvement, and a bike that pulls all the way to the redline instead of dying off. That would be very useful for the track, even if they improvement isn't huge.

I think 90% of that benefit is from retuning not the exhaust

When we tested several different slip-on only designs on the 250r, we simply never got more .3 - .6 (yes, tenths...) of a hp improvement, henceforth, we never offered a slip-on. We actually got better improvement with simply rejetting and keeping the oem muffler. When our FI programmer arrives within the next week or so for the 300, we'll begin our final testing of all the prototypes we've designed.:thumbup: We will also test with some slip-on designs as well. The oem muffler on the 300 actually works very well within the design limitations of the oem headpipe, sound levels and A/F curve.

Is that tuned with ecu management? Doesn't seem like much to brag about although it does increase across the whole power band.

idk much about tunes and ECU management, but if that's all it's got as far as gains go, i'm stickin with a slip on :-/

Guys try Totsubo motorsport exhaust if you want a bad ass exhaust. its painfully loud but it has a distinct sound since it has a 2-2 configuration unlike others.
