Friday I rode almost into Atlanta to meet some friends for dinner. I went early so I could hit up a couple motorcycle shops. There is a shop (Marietta Mountain Motorsports) that moved into a bigger building so I really wanted to see it. I walked in and there in the middle of their huge new building was a lone white 2013 Ninja 300. No sales tag. Dirty tires. Looked like it had been ridden and someone just put it there in the middle. Anyway, I googled eyed it  then went and jumped on it before anybody said GET OFF MY BIKE! HAHAHAHA! Seat was hard as a rock, seat height was MUCH higher then I expected BUT the bike looked like a real bike. Not that I think the "MID-GENS" look NOT like real bike...wish I had one myself...but it did have the feel and look of a 600 or 1000. Cant wait to see all the colors. I want one! Thats my report :p

How tall are you and were you able to flat-foot it?

I sat on one at the times square takeover. my heel was resting on the pipe which I found odd. I also felt more upright (which I expected) and way more cramped (which I did not expect) than on the zx6r

Thanks for putting up that video...yeah, its a HUGE place! You could barely see the bikes in the old place cause all their bikes were so so so close to each other. I was always waiting for a domino effect to occur. They have another shop in St Mountain just as big as this one if not bigger.

Anyway, as far as the 300...I am 5'9" with an inseam of around 31ish. No I could not flat foot it. :( I can flat foot and bend my knees on my pregen but thats probably cause the shocks are OLD  --- I cant flat foot my BuSa but have learned to live with it although finally found someone I trust to lower her 1". Being that the 300 weighs half of the BuSa, not flat footing for me would not keep me from getting one. I have to admit that flat footing is one of the things I LOVE most about my 250 pregen so I was surprised that being a bike geared towards new riders, they made it higher.

Really? Its that high up? I can flat foot all the supersports (minus a few of the 1000s that I haven't tried) and I'm not taller than you (inseam likely the same). Interesting... I'll have to check a 300 out when the dealer gets some in.

5'9 and you can't flat foot it?

Now I'm worried.

I find it hard to believe a person who is 5' 9" can't flat foot that bike. I'm only like 5' 8" and I can flat foot all of the 600's with exception to the R6, which I am very close.

I love being the average male height (5'10-5'11)...
You can flat foot anything and not be cramped either.

I don't think height is as important as "inseam." Although, I am sure weight can help too...heavy weight that is. I am 200lbs so I am sure I load the shocks a bit :D especially on my OLE PREGEN but the newer shocks on the 300 probably didn't budge. I have sat on many new "MID-GENS" and flat footed them all. My GF is only 5'6" (125lbs) and she can flatfoot my BuSa cause she has legs for days where I can't do it. She didn't get on the 300, wish she would have so I could gauge a little better the height.

Specs say 30.9" for 2013, 30.5" for 2012, 29.3" for 2007.

Seat heights according to Kawa and Suzu websites:
30.9 Ninja 300
31.7 Ninja 650
32.3 Ninja 1000
31.9 GSX-R 600 & 750 & 1000
31.7 Hayabusa

I can not flat foot any of them at 31.2" (measured by a seamstress for a tux/suit)

fleemos - yeah, I went looking for leathers for Friday and to check out the new building and BOOM there it was but no price tag like ALL their other bikes. It was cool to sit on it! I drooled all over it. Hahaha!

I have the same inseam as you and was able to get both feet flat on the ground.
