After a couple years away, I'm coming back into the folds of the Ninjette family. Put a deposit down on a white Ninja 300 about 120 miles from my place. OTD price: $5021. Selling my current bike on Sunday, making the run out to pick up my new girl on Monday.

I'm pumped! :D

thats a good deal, which dealer did you go with?

I went with Romney Cycles in Romney, WV. So it's a good 2.5 hour drive to get out there, but it's nearly a $1000 less than what the DC area dealerships were quoting me. Plus, then I get to break her in through the mountains on the way back. :D

Now, I just have to get through the sale of my current bike this weekend (scheduled with the buyer for Sunday), and then my buddy is driving me out there on Monday to pick her up. STOKED.

Awesome, be careful on the ride back though.
People drive crazy on holiday weekend.

Are you 'upgrading' from the Street Triple? Let us know how the transition goes...

Haha. Yes, 'upgrading', lol. I got tired of never getting to use more than the first two gears, and even then sometimes risking jail time. So I'm hoping that the 300 will give me what I'm looking for -- something slow enough that I actually get to use it, but fast enough to do everything I want to do. We shall see!

Precisely why I love my 2fiddy so much… If I had the moolah to burn, I'd get the 300

$5021 ??? Say whattttt!!!! That's just tax alone. For example here in fl sales tax is .08
So msrp $4700 x .08 = 376 = $5076
Now if you have a dealership selling you bikes out the door with just tax added then maybe we can do business.

dealership pays less then msrp.

so they actually still make money.

Yeah, I didn't pay MSRP. So the price was $4399+tax+tags/title+doc fee. That's actually why I was willing to take a bit of a hit on selling my current bike, so that I could go ahead and make sure to snag this one. Over here, the trick is to go to a dealership in the middle of nowhere, so they feel like they have to work to get you in the door.

Nice! Congrats! Now the wait will be a killer. ;)
