Thanks! The snow is not my thing either. kazam58 January 11th, 2009, 07:40 PM Welcome to the board! I'm actually looking at going to U of Pittsburgh (if I they give me enough money ) I've never actually been down there though, how is it? welcome!! i have seen snow only once in my life. i don't know how you guys manage. We don't. Well, that's not entirely true. After several years you develop a sort of immunity to it. Plus, the driving is better after a snowstorm, only the brave go out and all the potholes are filled with snow. ladyninja08 January 11th, 2009, 07:44 PM Welcome to the board! I'm actually looking at going to U of Pittsburgh (if I they give me enough money ) I've never actually been down there though, how is it? It's not too bad but if you leave the campus you can get into some bad neighborhoods:eek: kazam58 January 11th, 2009, 07:52 PM Thanks, I figured so much, but didn't think about it a lot. sometime in the spring Ii'll probably take a little trip down and take a look at the city, not just the campus. I'd have a hard time not to leave campus; I tend to wander, lol. I just never could get involved in all those ridiculous clubs they create to pass the time. camaroz1985 January 12th, 2009, 07:22 AM Welcome, and I feel your pain on the snow and cold. I get out to Pittsburgh every now and then, maybe we will run into each other (hopefully not literally :)) and can go for a ride. ManyCavies January 12th, 2009, 09:42 AM Welcome :D KJohnson21 January 12th, 2009, 12:08 PM :welcome: NJD022588 January 13th, 2009, 12:06 PM I'm actually looking at going to U of Pittsburgh (if I they give me enough money ) I've never actually been down there though, how is it? I'm not sure where the campus is, but I really like Pittsburgh. I had never seen a place like it before and it wasnt really what I was expecting when I first went there. camaroz1985 January 13th, 2009, 01:02 PM Campus is in Oakland. Not the best area, but pretty much all campuses in cities aren't. kazam58 January 13th, 2009, 10:54 PM Yea, it's hard to find a college campus in the ideal spot, right where you would like it. But it's nice to know that someone likes the city! BlueTyke January 14th, 2009, 07:39 AM I'm not sure where the campus is, but I really like Pittsburgh. I had never seen a place like it before and it wasnt really what I was expecting when I first went there. Just watch where you park.. Parking Wars... Watched and learned :D BlueTyke January 14th, 2009, 07:39 AM Campus is in Oakland. Not the best area, but pretty much all campuses in cities aren't. I was going to blame it on the name... Is there an Oakland that is the best area?? I know in CA there isnt :D noche_caliente January 15th, 2009, 06:41 PM Yea, it's hard to find a college campus in the ideal spot, right where you would like it. But it's nice to know that someone likes the city! I know of one in just the perfect spot! Nick might agree..... kazam58 January 15th, 2009, 06:42 PM lol, might I ask which one? camaroz1985 January 16th, 2009, 10:59 AM I think she is talking about Virginia Tech, but could be wrong. xTKx January 16th, 2009, 12:37 PM I feel bad for all the people who have to weather the cold weather! Here in central TX we just got a cold front that put us down to 38 degrees this morning and we're all bundled up... I can't imagine (literally) temperatures below 0 and I've only seen snow about 3 or 4 times in my whole life... Kelly I'd imagine you're about the same way over there in Hawaii.. :) And, of course, welcome to the board Lady! NJD022588 January 16th, 2009, 03:09 PM lol, might I ask which one? http://www.collegefootballplayoff.com/images/logo_vt.gif I think she is talking about Virginia Tech, but could be wrong. |
