Just picked these up from a craigslist ad, though they originally started out at Wal-Mart (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Paul-Jr.-Motorcycle-Saddle-Bag/16777873) I was told they sell around $45.

Haven't had the chance to use them yet aside from carrying my weekend jacket home, but they do sit nice on the Ninjette and seem like they will have the room to carry a couple days of clothes and maybe (hoping) a small cooler for snacks/drinks.

Now I want a month off for a roadtrip!

NevadaWolf - How are these bags holding up?

Honestly thanks to the cold snap that rolled through just after I got them I haven't had a chance to go riding with them and really try them out.

So they're holding up quite well in my closet!

Lol I just bought the tank bag for 35 bucks. They are rated 4 1/2 stars at amazon and Walmart. Sounds like its worth a shot. I've got plenty of storage but I like having options when I leave the house. If they're crap I can just give them back to Wally but based on the rave reviews I'm expecting a decent bag.

I kinda went with the "It's cheap, why not?" mentality. The bags seem decent but I've not put any weight in them while installed on the bike to see how it hangs over the tail. Plus with my rear seat cowl, need to fix how I had them before.

: prays for some temps above freezing for a whole day :

Tank bag arrived today. I was immediately impressed with the build quality. I've had the Icon Urban and Rapid Transit Recon 19 and the quality is better than the Icon and just a cut below the RT.

There are a couple of quirks that I question for example if you are using it strap mounted, there is no way to hide the magnets. I've had my tank damaged by a stuck paper clip so I'm shy about using the magnets. I don't have a choice here.

Zippers have really nice pulls and the guides are smooth. Its expandable to somewhere around 20 liters I would estimate. Enough for a day trip but not as a standalone overnighter. I give it 4 of 5 stars upon initial inspection

So used my saddlebags yesterday. Loaded one side with a small lunch cooler that fits perfectly and the other side with a rain suit and my iPad. Unfortunately, I loaded the suit onto the exhaust side and the weight pulled it down repeatedly onto the exhaust. Luckily, the bag seems to have suffered no damage from its resting place. I did have the straps under the seat cowl which may have led to the lowered positioning.

Overall held up well and the straps kept it in place. I need to actually pack it as if I was going to need a change of clothes and strap everything down tight so it won't rest on the pipe while underway. I do like how the cooler sits just perfectly into the bag and allows me easy access without having to take it out.

Just need to find some means of supporting the bottom of the bags. But I'm happy to have luggage so I'll keep working with it.

Interesting. I may have to look into these! I desperately need more storage space!

If only I could find them... they don't appear to be sold online and all of the stores around me say not stocked or limited. Which usually means they don't have them....

Is this the tank bag you bought? And did you put it on your ninjette or the SV?

No, this is it. I ordered mine at Walmart, but Amazon had it for the same price. Figured if I didn't like it I could always return to Walmart without having to ship.
