View Full Version : onboard clock
Guinss January 17th, 2009, 02:26 PM Anyone got that?
Its a small "mod", but quite useful? Ive always missed not having one the 250R. Its a shame Kawasaki didnt make a digital dash on this bike.
Ive checked alot of shops, and they all sell clocks that are BIG, and really would stand out from the 250R's dash..
I know its possible to make a clock smaller..thats what i want, and it got to be digital. A tiny thing that blend in/hides among the tach, temp-gauge and speedometer.
Any ideas where to buy one? (Needs to be shipped to europe)
and no, i dont want to buy a digital dash for $250, to get a clock integrated. :)

Water temp & a clock :)
kkim January 17th, 2009, 04:17 PM I took and old black plastic wrist watch, removed the straps, put velcro on the back and had it mounted where the water temp/clock is now mounted that HKr1 linked. Quick, easy, cheap and accurate. :)
Guinss January 17th, 2009, 04:21 PM Gregular: ok size on those, cheapest one there was £7 :o thats way under the tax-limit. ty! :)
havent found anything like that on my many google-searches/norwegian bike-shops. UK ftw
HKr1 January 17th, 2009, 05:26 PM Simen,
Iam stupid. Just remembered your bike has a water temp gauge  So all you would need is the clock.
USA gets ripped off on all the goodies :)
Alex January 17th, 2009, 05:27 PM Here's the one I got:

yes, only need a clock. Will use that mounting method you linked too though
All pictures of 250-dash i saw before i bought one, was with a fuel gauge, so i was surprised when my bike had a water temp-gauge. :( Didnt know that it was different on US and euro bikes. But now i think its better with a water temp gauge :D more useful
noche_caliente January 17th, 2009, 06:36 PM I have a solution very similar to kkim's - as does the bike living in my garage at the moment - it's super-cheap and even easier than kkim's mounting method :D
*disclaimer - this is not my bike, my 'clock' has been removed to change the battery, as it is like 8 years old* (Nick, let me know if you want me to take it down ;) )
