I see, said the blind man. But not the hard case Givis that Kawasaki sells as a factory accessory. That's a lot of cargo space though. I'm ready to make another moto trip again. Just not sure where.
himynameisjoe January 10th, 2013, 06:05 PM OO Givi :D I'm determined to get one of the little ones on my bike eventually somehow... It can't be that impossible, right?

Didn't think about that. You'd wind up like the Frenchman on the FJ1300 riding down the dock. Lol

Yeap, they have some on the n1k at the dealer and they are pretty fat. They stick out just a bit farther than the mirrors do

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat, must find
rojoracing53 January 10th, 2013, 06:33 PM rojoracing53 What kind of gloves are those?
Helimot, their a small local CA shop that makes custom leathers and gloves quality is unmatched if you don't mind an old school styling. Ask Alex he just crashed in a set the other weekend
https://shop.helimot.com/shopping/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=9&cat=1+-+Motorcycle+Gloves
Jiggles January 10th, 2013, 06:36 PM I can't wait to go drop $2000-$2500 on a full suit and gloves at helimot :D
rojoracing53 January 10th, 2013, 06:47 PM Helmut surprised me with this suit to use during a special endurance race then took it back and hung it in his showroom. Looked really good paired with this bike.

himynameisjoe January 10th, 2013, 06:54 PM That suit... :jaw: is fantastic!
SMman January 10th, 2013, 07:48 PM Love the Ninja 1K Jiggles. Its on my list of bikes to own.
I've been using the same Givi topcase (32L I believe) since 2000. I had it on my 99 Suzuki SV650S and 03 Honda VFR800 using specific Givi mounts. Givi doesn't make mounts for my 03 Kawasaki ZX-6R so I mounted it to a spare rear seat and plan to do the same to the 09 250R.
Givi will stand behind their products and have been great to deal with.
BlackNinja8 January 10th, 2013, 09:22 PM I like that your givi rack doesnt look like a full face retainer. How do uou feel about it when the topcase is off?
Jiggles January 11th, 2013, 01:37 AM Dunno, havent taken it off yet
Bigballsofpaint January 11th, 2013, 01:00 PM Nice jigs, ill be getting the givi set with v47 case and backrest for the woman in a few months. Were planning a trip to kansas in may, all ill be going down to the dragon in aug. I wont be getting side cases either, it kills me to make this sport bike look anything like a touring bike, but i must sacrifice somewhere
Sargent makes a heated seat already for the n1k man. They dont make a pillon seat, so ill be getting both corbins for it as well.
Jiggles January 11th, 2013, 01:11 PM Dude, the 47 is gigantic! Like seriously, they dont get taller just fatter so it looks like it belongs on a gold wing. I'd get the 38 if I were you and make do. Maybe add some Nelson Rigg CL-950s (http://www.revzilla.com/product/nelson-rigg-cl-950-saddle-bag-system?utm_source=product&kwd=&adtype=pla&kw=%7Bkeyword%7D&gclid=COrV1J6O4bQCFWGnPAodYzAAOg) if you need the extra storage. They don't extend out very far and have 20L on each side. Also, the V47 is 2x the cost of the 38
Bigballsofpaint January 11th, 2013, 01:16 PM i wont leave the case on all the time, just on my long trips, and in that case i want the extra storage. The 55s and the 46 look too bubbly and huge to me, the 47 may be big but it has sharper lines that somewhat go with the bike at least.
Jiggles January 11th, 2013, 01:47 PM Oi, see one in person if you can, that is what changed my mind on the subject
Bigballsofpaint January 11th, 2013, 01:57 PM They arent readily avail in the US yet, all the ebay listings i see are from canada. They seem to have different 47's. Im looking at the V47

Jiggles January 11th, 2013, 02:02 PM Yep thats the one I originally ordered
Bigballsofpaint January 11th, 2013, 02:26 PM Ah ok, either way my tail is going to have a big box on the back of it, so i may as well get one that can fit a good amount of stuff. I was looking at the ventura rack too, but i figured my gf would prob lean on it and i know the givi has a little better mounting than just the grab bars. Having the waterproof case helps too, when you coming to this side of the country?

You have just absolutely sold another ZG sport-touring windscreen. Tell them to give you a commission. Is that the light or dark smoke?
rojoracing53 February 15th, 2013, 10:59 PM You have just absolutely sold another ZG sport-touring windscreen. Tell them to give you a commission. Is that the light or dark smoke?
It's dark smoke, when its perfectly clean you can see ok through it while your in the tuck. But when it's just a little dirty it's really hard to see details like is that a cop park in the shade of that tree. For aesthetics I love the dark on my black bike but a light smoke may have been a bit more functional, I have no regrets with my decision :)
Jiggles February 16th, 2013, 12:46 AM Clear get clear!
Jiggles February 16th, 2013, 12:47 AM It doesn't look as dumb as the dark ones :p
