Many of these bikes basically threw convention out the window, and made their own rules when it came to class warfare. The H1 500 and H2 750 three-cylinder two-strokes, the original 1972 Z1, the turbocharged Z1R TC of 1978 and 1983 GPz750 Turbo, the 1984 Ninja 900 and 600R of 1985…the list goes on.

Although the January 2013 issue of Sport Rider Magazine already did a review of the Ninja 300, the April issue has yet another article highlighting the new Ninja 300. Entitled " Big Fun, Little packages", it compares the Ninja 300 with the Honda CBR250R and the Hyosung GT250R.

It's a pretty extensive six page article comparing the three bikes as well as a discussion about the bikes on the racetrack, a discussion on aftermarket exhausts and a women's perspective of the three. In summary, they say the Kawasaki "...destroys the class in one fell swoop..."

In addition to this article, there is a full test article on the 2013 Kawasaki ZX-6R.

Many of us on the forum got free subscriptions to Sport Rider through a posting by one of the members. It's been a great magazine.

Yes they seemed to have better writers/writing now. The Ninja 300 is a game changer, light weight and decent top end. I personally would of liked them to step back up to a 500. But it's all good. Wardie

so many interesting tidbits about the important things and people the last 20 years in motorcycling...specially singled out rossi for the success of motogp...

The Ninja 250 still slaps the **** outta the CBR and Hyosung so obviously the 300 will just blow them outta the sky...

I just got an even newer issue a few days ago where they reviewed it again, this time in comparison to the CBR 250R and the new FI Hyosung GTR250. In came out on top unanimously (every editor/tester picked it). Actually, MORE than unanimously: they even went to outside perspectives from a few ladies and all three chose the 300, including our favorite Annette (@Darling Ninja).

Nope. I sub Sport Rider and they even referenced January's "Gone to the Gym" review in this one. Not sure what month it's intended for display but it's the latest one with "Collector's Edition 20 year anniversary!" splattered all over it.

I guess they just weren't done praising it!
