If anyone has a nice collection of bikes (or one rare bike) and wants to ride in the parade, the AMA is lookin for participants for their 85th Anniversary Celebration this summer.

There is a list of bikes wanted and the dates on the link:

I might do it but July is so far off I don't know where I'll be on the 24th. Here are three of the bikes that qualify;

86 GSXR 750 Limited and 83 Honda Interceptor

77 Harley CR1000 Cafe Racer

I don't know why they wouldn't want the 82 Suzuki Katana or 84 Harley XR1000. They seem not only innovative but rare also.

You get two free tickets if you ride in the parade.

Sounds like fun, except for the Ohio summer heat in July.

damm what a memory blast! :happy110:

i remember when the interceptor came out w/that 16" front wheel. that one in the pic looks just like my first street ride. i had the '84 700 'tariff buster' ...and the katana...thing looked like it was doing 90 mph just sitting there...

sounds like a neat event...
...seems like only yesterday...
