We already have a thread of what your work is, but what about some pictures of what you actually do AT work?

I don't work for the CIA or anything so I can share some pics of what I do at work. This was my project for today.

1997 Mercedes Benz E300D:

We got it in for a "routine" glow plug change. Unfortunately these motors are notorius for carbon build up. This build up disables the glow plugs and jams them in place. The solution? Remove the cylinder head and punch them out. So far I've been having a good time messing around with this thing. Unfortunately, the smell of diesel is my least favorite smell.

I have been retired for16 years. I was a Psychiatric Social Worker and a Physician`s assistant for 25 years. Prior to that I was a medic in the Us Arny Rangers serving in Vietnam. Now I enjoy sailing, riding bicycles, weight lifting, and riding motorcycles (50 years). I also race bicycles and build racing bikes in my small shop.

Right now I'm writing up an environmental permit for a project we are doing in the city of Hesperia.

It's like a job application... except 10 times longer.

fun... I'm into overtime right now.

I want to go home but the intrawebz is so entertaining.

Burnt ATF is always a winner in my book. Or some good ol' nasty 80-90 out of the rear end of a 60's era car. Yummy.

I don't have any pictures of it... But... As you can see by this post... I mostly play on the internet! :)

Nah this is breakfast time the real work comes in like ten minutes. I am an Admin Assistant so as long as I look busy.. People leave me alone.

On the To Do list today is data entry into a Driver database...And... Thats it unless someone gives me something else to do..

Quick! Look Busy!

Sweet man!! I'm a video game nerd! :nerd:

I work for a wholesale vehicle remote company doing over the phone tech support. I also am one of the two aftermarket specialists for our company and I cut keys as well. Sometimes the work can be rather redundant, but I have some of the best co-workers and managers that anyone could ask for! I'm on my computer almost all day (which is why I post during the slow times :) ).

BTW, does anyone have any security alarm/remote start systems on their bikes?

I'm working on a case between 2 major corporations in which certain contracts were breached therefore impeaching laws 342B and 449A within the Australian Business Act stating that my client is clearly in the right (of course). A costly lesson for those at fault but hey, I'm still coming out on top :o I have a feeling they'll be left red faced and try settle out of court so my client doesnt end up taking them to the cleaners.

K maybe not yet but one day :o:D lol ..

Me, I just work in an office, as tech support, nothing great to look at. It is not the most ideal job of mine, but I am working on it, you need to start from the bottom to get to the top, right? :D

I work for a defense contractor, building cool gadgets for the military that I cant talk about for obvious reasons. Needless to say, its exciting, just how I like it.

I'm still a student studying business. But I've discovered that it's not what I necessarily want to do for the rest of my life. So looking at alternatives right now. Figure if I'm doing financial statement analysis, it'd be for Honda rather than Corporation XYZ.

I work for "The System"... County Jail. Going on 7 years now. Great fun, everyday is different some exciting, others not so much.... 'Specially here in MAX/Super MAX!

So for those who followed the post pics of who's who thread.. this is why I have no pics of me (Face Shots). We had an issue about a year ago where they (Command staff) had evidence that lead them to believe there was a group of people planning on kidnapping, torturing and eventually killing one of the guards... they told us to even "Block" if you will myspace and such... the less they know the better... Some say paranoid... well you can get bent!

I was working as a student assistant while going to school but I got let go back in july due to the fiscal crappitude of the state budget.

I'm about 6 months away from graduation from UC Davis with my B.S. in Civil Engineering then im looking towards grad school since there are few jobs that give me the responsibilities I want with a B.S.

With no job, the Ninja fills my need for cheap and effective transportation:thumbup:

:worthlesswithoutpic

With that said, I didn't take any pics. Somehow on Saturday I was lucky enough to do 250Biker's front brakes on his truck. I find it alot more fun when I am helping a friend out instead of doing my own work or the normal "job."

I'm lucky with my job though, I got to take off Friday and do some riding. No pics from that either, but here are some from Saturday's ride.

All sorts of Telephone/LAN installs and repair(copper/fiber).

Worst has to be cable work.... dam ickypic gets everywhere.

Heres a pic of a 900 pair cable, dicks didnt fill the splice case when they were done. Water got in and started causing faults. So it all needed cut out, and new 900 pair splice/case installed.

I'm a Computer Numeric Control Programmer. I run 2 Methods Slant lathes, and I make various types of gears, sprockets and shafts that keep machines/cars/motorcycles running. Mainly I work in Stainless Steel and Hardened steel of various types, but sometimes nylon gears roll in...
It's the type of job where I can make a part for my bike if I need to. My boss is cool with me using the company machines, as long as I'm on my own time ;)

here is where i work:

http://www.pmrf.navy.mil/images/Pmrfair.jpg

it's the pacific missile range facility at barking sands on kauai, hi. although it doesn't look like much, the facility assists all branches of the military, domestic and allied, with air, surface and subsurface training, simulating numerous threat enviornments, as well as participating in some b.m.d. test and evaluation. for 23 years i was a plane captain (crew chief) on a fleet of H-3 navy helicopters. they've done away with the aviation section and contract out helo support. for 3 years now i've worked in the range operation's data display section, operating and maintaining a naval tracking data system.

so...i went from this :plane: to this :ranger:

by the way NB...contract renewal just completed, openings posted every week

Bad thing is the positions there I don't really qualify for. I have the electronics school required, I went to tech school before I enlisted plus the aircraft electricians course. The particular systems is what I am lacking on. BUT, I also went to Embry-Riddle, the college where I am going to school and talked to the individual concerned with the final project yesterday and will be starting on that next week, that is the last thing that I have to accomplish and I will have my MAS. Then I may go back to school for something in computers, I am seeing a LOT of jobs for computers.

NB.

PS I also just got Tickets for Jimmy Buffett at Waikiki shell, 28 Feb.:D

Never seen him before in concert. I almost did right after we got back, Oct 07. I was scheduled to return after the concert, but my flight got moved up and we flew a week early and it was sold out. That and I was jet lagged really bad, something about flying over 15 time zones.

If you are interested, I'd suggest at least applying and let them make the decision if you are qualified or not. These are slots open by contract and if they are not filled the company actually does not make the profit on the position unless it is filled. You would be surprised what they will do to fill those slots if you are at least close in qualifications. ;)

I have, just have to wait and see. I'll check back with them next week.

Thanks
