I just placed an order for a Yoshi Frame Slider Kit for the 300!

Part # is 040BG147000 and the cheapest place to buy them is at BiohazardCycles.com (http://www.biohazardcycles.com/servlet/the-6493/YOSHIMURA-040BG147000--BLACK/Detail). Came out to $165 shipped!

how badly does it vibrate since you are eliminating the top rubber mount of the engine and instead making it a hard-mount?

What? I've got this. Installed it myself. No rubber mounts lost or removed. You reuse the top bolts/nuts and replace the bottom one with a longer bolt. Otherwise nothing is changed from stock, just added. It looks good, IMO, and it seems like it will work well in protecting the bike.

was it freaky cutting the fairing hole?

Kawasaki has premarked the spot. So I drilled that out with with a decent sized drill bit. Then I used a dremel to enlarge until the spacer fit through the hole. The hole doesn't need to be 1.5" or so. It's only about 1/2"-3/4 so the plastic spacer behind the big slider fits through.
