How do those single wheel trailers work? I would think that to keep them from falling over it would have to hold it in a way that wouldn't let it swing side to side, which could cause problems in turns like that.

Yes, as the trailer must lean with the bike, the forces on the little tire are just like the forces on the bike's tires (lateral and normal), and the trailer wouldn't "swing side to side".

I used to live up by there in TN and frequented the dragon a lot. Its amazing what you would see.
