View Full Version : Finally got some pics
RollTide-LDub March 12th, 2013, 06:43 PM They are tearing down a shopping center near my apartment so I went over and grabbed a couple shots before they finished. The old building and rubble provided a pretty cool derelict backdrop. If only my gf had let me use her DSLR camera...:(

nickjpass March 12th, 2013, 09:23 PM Nice pictures brah:) I always enjoy photography. Wish I had a DSLR :(
RollTide-LDub March 12th, 2013, 09:57 PM Thanks man. My gf got one the other year but she doesn't let anyone use it, understandable I guess.
Firehorse March 12th, 2013, 11:05 PM Nice! Love the blue. Fun place to take some pics, never know what you'll come across.

Yea it was an interesting spot. I was going to go back because I saw where I could actually get into the building, but they had completed the demolition the next day. And I the blue has really grown on me.
nickjpass March 13th, 2013, 06:58 AM Aww. Haha. Would have been great shots. So, I know an abandoned building... ideas.

I pretty much just parked in one spot and took a bunch of pics. Wish I had explored more in hindsight. Hopefully I can get out in town and find somemore spots.
nickjpass March 13th, 2013, 10:48 PM There are always spots. World's beautiful. You just need the right angle and lens lol

Figuratively and literally.
nickjpass March 14th, 2013, 03:57 AM A DSLR is nice too lmao
dfox March 14th, 2013, 05:58 AM nice bike... sometimes I wish I had waited around for a blue one. I'd have been scared of hitting something to pop my tires while driving around in there...
and my photography rant... professional photographer level photos can be taken with a point and shoot. A DSLR doesn't make a professional photographer, it's just a tool. If you can't hit a nail with a plastic hammer, what makes you think you'll hit the nail with a more expensive one?
nickjpass March 14th, 2013, 06:52 AM I use a point and shoot. I just wish I had a better one.

RollTide-LDub March 14th, 2013, 08:45 AM I agree, my PaS is just in sad shape, and the only reason I used it was it is marginally better than my cell phone.

Thanks! I didn't want blue to begin with, but the deal was too good and it has really grown on me now.
Where I parked was relatively clear, if I had gone closer to the building then there would have been more hazards.
alley March 27th, 2013, 01:27 PM great pics!
