its possible if he found a muffler that was mirrored, and fabricated the header pipe.

not much of a fan of the additional weight though.
also i think it would effect the resonance of the whole system.

would look a million times sexier if they were mounted higher up. sorta like where the Areap ultra high 12" is for the 300.

Yes. Actually p implies possibly p. It has been actually done, so it can possibly be done. :p (As long as S5 is the correct modal logic. GEEK JOKE ALERT!)

I haven't been in engineering courses for a long while and that still hits me.

Why? They had them in the pre-gen and people hated them because they were ugly and got in the way. So they finally fixed it with the new-gen. Why, oh why, would you ever want to go back to dual mufflers? It's just spending more money to make your bike heavier and a bit more annoying to work on.

I agree. My wife owned a 2000 Kawasaki ZZR250 and I hated having the dual exhaust. It would get dirty from the chain and get in the way when adjusting and lubing the chain. We ended up getting a free full Muzzy exhaust after a skydiver landed on the bike in a parking lot, knocked it over and scratched the stock system. He also replaced the plastics, mirror, etc. It made a good story.

As for the dual Yosh, it looks good but I wouldn't want it for the reasons mentioned above, the weight, and the extra cost.

Some guys have mounted the dual Yoshimura on the DR-Z400SM but it seems odd to have dual exhausts for a single cylinder bike.

Yoshimura does make nice stuff though so contact them if that's what you want. I had their full system on my SV650S and was impressed with the build quality.

True story. I was flying skydivers and my wife came to visit on the 250. The jumper who hit the bike covered the damages. He was completely at fault and shouldn't have been landing in the parking lot. My poor wife felt terrible. She even ran to the bike and tried to cushion the blow by getting between it and the ground.

the rear wheel in the video is sweet, the pipes are a waste of weight
