I have come into the camp of fully appreciating rider aids, finally. Technologies such as ABS and traction control-it says something that we don't feel the need to explain what the letters ABS mean anymore, and we're close with TC, too-are undeniably good for rider safety.

Hi,
I clicked on your read the full story link. But do not found more info on that topix page. Anyway, i am having problem with my motorcycle wiring. I recieved a 1978 Suzuki GS750e it is a project and is rough the battery was shot so I took it out and using a plug in battery jump starter I hook the cables directly to the wires that would have been attached to the battery all mt lights worked fine so I unhooked it the next day I hooked them up again but accedently attatched them backwards and did negative to positive an vice versa.

I had a VFR 800 . Really a wounderful motorcycle. Full of technology. ABS linked brakes that worked really really well. V tech motor. Fuel injection all the bells and whistles. The bike has everything but a soul.
I sold it for a 250 ninja.

That story is so beautiful it brought a tear to my eye.

That's exactly how I described my Ninjette. It had soul.

Right now I've detoured in to supersport territory… never had one and had to scratch the itch before I get too old… but I can easily see returning to the fold in the future.
