Sooo... Thanks to the wonderful friends I have I ended up with a 2 Brothers polished aluminum exhaust. It had been down and was repainted but I thought of a different paint design for it. I also had a custom exhaust bracket made. Thanks to Nathan, Kenny and Jason for all the work!!!

Let me know what you guys think. I personally think it is a little different than all the other stuff you see around while still getting the proven aftermarket look and sound. After taking this thing apart it's kind of amazing why they charge us like $500 for these things. With that said, 2 Brothers has excellent quality. They put rubber o-ring gaskets around the end caps and use some quality harware with great fit and finish.

As soon as I decide what I want to put where the original 2 Brothers' name plate was I'll rivet it on there as well.

Loud. Very loud. In fact, I seriously think I have some hearing loss due to how loud it is. It has a growl that I really like. Most people can't tell it's a 250 by the look or sound of the bike. Apparently, the rear tire gives it away.

I'll be sure to do that. I did discover a niced size exhaust leak and I think they may have something to do with the noise.

I do like the sound of the exhaust. While some disagree, I believe that loud pipes save lives. With that said, it's counterproductive to make yourself deaf.

No copper problems so far. Knoxville has a very large bike scene and my bike, while loud, is silent compared to some of the Busas, GSX-Rs, Harleys and customs we have cruising around here.

Do you notice that the exhaust shakes up and down at all. It seems that your mount might not be very stiff.

It's pretty solid. I wouldn't take a sledgehammer to it or anything. It's made out of 1/8 in steel MIG welded together. it doesn't swing back and forth nor up and down.

I think the loudness has more to do with KnoxNinja's bike more than anything else. When I ride alone i'm fine.

Oh man - Congrats on your TBR Pipe. I just traded mine away for the stock ones again. Couldn't stand the noise/vibration - just way way too loud. Even the local PD seemed to think so.

Nice looking exhaust, how did you paint it if you don't mind me asking?

It was taken apart and all of the anodizing was removed with a bench grinder. It was then clean with brake cleaner, torched to get all of the residue off and then painted with some ceramic high temp paint.

Cops don't seem to mind it. It's definately not the loudest thing on the street around here.

The pipe is quieter now that I have those leaks fixed. Also, I talked to one of my friends about that droning noise when I ride behind KnoxNinja. Apparently that sound is common in race karts and other high-revving small engines. I'm not sure about bigger ones. When I'm riding by myself, everything is fine. When I ride with someone else, that harmonic hits and it's killer. Any suggestions? ...earplugs...
