I don't like the way the bar ends look on the bars, plus I want something that is heavier to reduce vibrations. Is it hard to take the bar ends off? Who makes bar ends and what size is it?

Broom February 11th, 2009, 11:54 AM i've got the Shogun barends in mine. my dad installed them before i got to check them out, so i'm not sure if they really have any weight to them or not though. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3228/3140471992_52c62c3f15.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jbroom/3140471992/in/set-72157611078268285/) VeX February 11th, 2009, 05:10 PM check eBay. Look for (I'm not kidding) GSXR bar-end rubber. Something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUZUKI-GSXR-600-750-1000-BAR-END-RUBBER-REPAIR-KIT_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a13 18Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem2003067556 97QQitemZ200306755697QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUZUKI-GSXR-600-750-1000-BAR-END-RUBBER-REPAIR-KIT_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a13 18Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem2003067556 97QQitemZ200306755697QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories) They go inside the tubes and expand the more you tighten the bar-ends down. minizoom February 11th, 2009, 07:23 PM Vex, I didn't know they sold that. Now I can use my aftermarket ones that I had on the old bars. Thanks! Cuongism February 23rd, 2011, 12:23 AM Tried searching, but couldn't find an answer. Does anyone know the size of the diameter of woodcraft clipons for aftermarket bar ends? I'm looking at Sato Racing in particular. http://www.satoracing.com/handlebarend.htm Also if someone has purchased from them, any chance you also have slingshot preload adjusters and purchased their gold color to see if it matches? kkim February 23rd, 2011, 02:31 AM If I had to guess, I'd say 7/8" OD? The stock throttle fits the WC and the stock throttle is 7/8" OD, but you want ID? Cuongism February 23rd, 2011, 09:08 AM Actually when looking closer at the website, they are threaded bar ends. They sell them in M6 and M8 sizes (and also 14-16mm). I remember from your other thread of using original bar ends that 5/16in hose was used so that would mean a 8mm thread. Thanks again! jamiesawatzky March 29th, 2011, 08:20 PM i've got the Shogun barends in mine. my dad installed them before i got to check them out, so i'm not sure if they really have any weight to them or not though. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3228/3140471992_52c62c3f15.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jbroom/3140471992/in/set-72157611078268285/) How did you or your dad get the shogun bar end on the end of the woodcraft clipon? From other searches ive found there are no threads to screw on too. kkim March 29th, 2011, 08:24 PM How did you or your dad get the shogun bar end on the end of the woodcraft clipon? My bike slid about 100 feet going 50mph on the bar end and still intact. http://i802.photobucket.com/albums/yy304/cuongism/6bdc83d4.jpg kenji_808 March 31st, 2011, 02:56 AM you can use the kkim method or just go on ebay and buy the gsxr barend mounting rubber thingys That's what i used and there pretty stuck in there there's no way u can remove it w/o loosening the hardware.... its sogood the rubber and nut actually got stuck in my bars so if i remove the barend just the barend and bolt come out. Cazper March 31st, 2011, 10:11 PM Since the link is broken for ebay... (because it was posted a long time ago I know) are we talking about these: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/$(KGrHqN,!k0E2EWLN4WpBNjp)5Ze6Q~~0_12.JPG or these: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/$(KGrHqQOKjQE0jn!4Z2qBNcYFS6bzQ~~_12.JPG I know there is the cheaper way with a hose... but $10 really isn't that bad. |
