The new kawi designs are fugly.

I really like the new designs. I also like the older rounded soft look of 90-00s bikes like the 250r, zx6rr, etc. The new style is geometry with angles that have small soft edges. I like the new direction of style a lot. It looks more aggressive in more high-tech way to me.

But I respect your opinion. It may not be the look for some out there.

2013 636 is so hot! I want one but I know what I would do with it and nothing but trouble....

I don't understand this thread. It is the same bike as the 300, but it comes with a destroked motor to take it back down to 249cc. Thailand, Japan, and a few other countries get this version instead of the 300, to better fit within tax and license categories. It was announced and released months before the 300 was released in the US.

You think you might be looking at the Ninja 300? Think again

And then think another time, because it's a de-tuned version for certain non-US markets?

No, it has a 249cc engine. Look at the specs.

It looks like a replica 300 with a 250 motor. Just sayin'.

No, it has a 249cc engine. Look at the specs.

The engine capacity is the volume difference between the piston at the top of the stroke and the bottom of the stroke plus the gap at the top, if you were to make the stroke shorter in the same engine, you have a smaller engine capacity.

So yes, it has a 249cc engine, and yes it's the same engine as the 300 but they may have put a different crankshaft with a lesser diameter on and longer con rods.
