i am looking to buy a tire hugger for my 250R and wonder where can i find it from ?

does anyknow if it is even worth having a tire hugger on my bike ?

It will keep from any rocks and such from damaging your bike (not like you get much damage from dust and stuff anyways but, its always nice to have)

I bought the tire hugger from Scott last year. It's a pretty good tire hugger for what you pay. For those not willing to shell out $175+, this is a great snag. I bought the "unfinished" carbon version, bought some flat black paint to match the chain guard and I already had some polyurethane sittin' around to gloss the carbon/protect it.

If you're looking to get that one, you might check with Bryan on here - he's the one who did the original install for it - he got it for about $100 and was one of the first ones to get it... I think it's worth asking him before parting with your cash...

This one looks nice too. I believe I e-mailed them about purchasing one....They in turn, directed me to a us importer < that doubled the price. Oh well, just another way to loose a customer ;)

I have one of the "Ebay tire huggers" too. Great deal, and looks great. I'll post pics later when I get home.

I picked up matte black new style from Scott 2 months ago... works well for the price. ** Note the double sided tape sent may not hold when water and dirt works on it from below. Got fresh auto double sided and its held perfectly.

Scott is on a cruise right now and will get back to me when he gets back. Mayb we can get him to hook us up witha ninjette dizzycount!

anyone knows if the BT-16 (size 150) will fit with this hugger on?

I would say no if the chain guard hits the tire plus unlike the sportisi hugger you can't add a spacer. But after all there is only one way to find out.

Scott's hugger does clear the 150 tire without any problems, however the 150 tire rubs the chain guard as mentioned by Matt. I made a notch on the chain guard for clearance. I'll take a pic of it when I have time so you can see.

how difficult are they to install?

1 bolt plus velcro.

Maybe in the pics there, the velcro was to raise it up some for the 150 tire.

Because it fits so tight on the chain gaurd, it only use's a bit of double sided tape on the swingarm...... to keep that far edge from flopping. < if it even would :confused:

It looks like he has gotten the Bugs out of the design and they look great.

Mine has worked Perfect for the 13000 miles it has been on, Don't use Double stick tape, Pick up some adhesive Backed industrial or "outside use" Velcro, it'll make your life a lot easier

These look really good and I am seriously thinking about getting the CF hugger. Anyone w/ one want to give a more detailed opinion?
