Got mine cowl and going to flatten mine seat,will post pics in a few days , ok here is the seat after i flatten it out some, just used a bread knife and sand blocks(60GRID)(FINE)

nothing to the cowl ,just switch out the seat,not sure how to do a DIY yet,but i can try

Where did you buy your solo seat cowl?

check rf900guy on ebay. i bought one off of him a month back. he's pretty good.

yes got the idea from Loyd's bike DIY,but didn't have power grinder,did it by hand just feeling all round it,Loyd's pics helped me get started

just switch out the seat for the cowl,think i need to trim the rubber pads some to lower cowl a little closer to the fender,anyone give me ideas or does it suppose to look like this

think you might have the front and rear rubber bumpers mixed up. try switching them around. did you follow the directions for assembling the cowl? :)

i was thinking about that,and i change them around and that didn't work

Actually u need to cut the front bumper rubber by 3mm or 4mm and then need to bend the front metal by 2mm or 3mm and by hammering the middle of the metal. Remember to cover the middle point steel with your stock tool socket L before do the hammering so it wont damage it.

yes i could not snap in the back part, and the front was to loose

This is probably to late but did you check this out?

So, before you go and shave the stoppers down, just give it some time to compress them down into the proper fitment. (http://www.2fiddy.com/2008/05/kawasaki-oem-seat-cowl-follow-up/)

i used the rubber stops from the seat (they are the same size as the small one provided from cowl kit)and put the coasters (1) on ea rubber and remove metal bracket from cowl and tap with long socket till i got got what you see

Is the cowl something you can take on and off pretty easily? I need to use a fast pack (work stuff) and it attaches to the seat. Haven't got the pack yet, but does anyone know if it can be attached to the cowl and removed?

Off topic but for you... is that fender elim a kit and that is a 2 Bro CF slip on yes? I'm looking to do both and saw your avatar. I have the same color as you, your bike looks good.
