Jiggles July 15th, 2013, 04:22 PM The fastest I ever did was 145mph and then I got too scared and slowed down. rojoracing53 July 15th, 2013, 04:33 PM Hell my 250 did 110 with no motor mods:confused: your 300 is slow:( fishdip July 15th, 2013, 04:37 PM That's jumping from a plane or jumping off a cliff will do? It did have a little head wind. CC Cowboy July 15th, 2013, 05:16 PM 107 kind of slow mine tops out around 220mph. So does mine. Then I have to shift to third. lgk July 15th, 2013, 05:34 PM I think i broke triple digits with a richly jetted Carb. Whats your weight? uKER July 15th, 2013, 05:53 PM About 72 kg (155 lb). No big deal. lgk July 15th, 2013, 05:55 PM Whats your rpm at top speed? uKER July 15th, 2013, 06:23 PM About 12k. lgk July 15th, 2013, 06:29 PM Install a larger front sprocket and make sure you're in sixth gear. DoubleYellowDan July 15th, 2013, 06:43 PM I believe mine got to 113-114 uKER July 15th, 2013, 07:41 PM Well, at least according to this (http://www.gearingcommander.com/) my speed at 11K/6th gear is right. What RPM are you people reaching in 6th gear? tnr4 July 15th, 2013, 08:09 PM Install a larger front sprocket and make sure you're in sixth gear. You know, I'm thinking the 300 doesn't actually have the torque to pull all the way to redline with the 15t sprocket. I haven't tried it, because I try not to kill myself on the street, and the track didn't have a long enough straight. But I DID notice that it was already REALLY slowing down pulling into the 80s on the straight. I might drop it back down to the 14t and see if it feels any different pulling up past 80mph. You can see what I mean here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=TEV2ORnGBDs#t=395s lgk July 16th, 2013, 05:07 AM You know, I'm thinking the 300 doesn't actually have the torque to pull all the way to redline with the 15t sprocket. You can see what I mean here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=TEV2ORnGBDs#t=395s it probably took me 2 miles to get from 90 to the max on my 250... so yeah, during your track day the 14 tooth is probably better. the redline is lower on the 300s though so that will effect you as well. Dark July 16th, 2013, 05:26 AM If it isn't being measured on a decent GPS device then the numbers are null. Hit that on one canyon run that had a really long straight road and I sat at 98 for a good while before slowing. Confirmed speed on the front straight at Chuckwalla with my buddy tailing me on his 675. Hope that with the pod tune from Area-p I can get a tad more out of this bike. adouglas July 20th, 2013, 06:28 AM Top speed? Fast enough. Fast enough for what? Fast enough to lose you your license. Fast enough to kill you. Fast enough to exceed sane safety limits. Fast enough to have craploads of fun. The number is unimportant. allanoue July 20th, 2013, 07:35 AM 105 on my gps a few times c-dog July 20th, 2013, 08:13 AM Top speed? Not important to me as long as the bike can do average freeway speeds, maybe a touch faster... Acceleration - now that's what I like! My 300 accelerated fast enough for me to drop just about any cars on the street. I could always get ahead of traffic on it. I did get it up to 105 on a flat straight in the country with no turn-offs just to check it out. I was in 6th and pretty much revved out. CC Cowboy July 20th, 2013, 08:16 AM Top speed? Fast enough.
