View Full Version : New guy from Suffolk, 'sup?
IF13 July 17th, 2013, 08:55 PM Name's Ken, I live 'round Suffolk. I'm new to the thrill but I'm definitely passionate. I've only ridden for a few days, had a few mistakes -- close calls, messed up shifts -- but all in all, it's been one of the best few days of my life.
Anyways, I'm sure you're all too familiar with the bike but I just had to share the end result of this very nice twisty road I found on the north side of LI. Very fun. Probably dumb-dangerous at night without any street lamps but the scenery is great, the twists are entertaining yet still beginner friendly. So here's to my fresh 250, sitting idly in front of some well tended fields (probably owned by that massive house nearby) overlooking the water:

eddiekay July 17th, 2013, 10:40 PM depending on how far east you are....
look for the july 27 ride in Group Rides....you might want to go. I'm in Malverne and mostly go myself but if the NYC crew gets together....join in....all good guys. Is this your first bike ?
IF13 July 18th, 2013, 03:11 AM gfloyd2002: Glad I found this place too. I'm going to be doing a lot of learning regarding both riding and maintenance/ the super long list of mods I have in mind (though nothing too expensive)
eddiekay: Yes, it's my first motorcycle. I'll consider the 7/27th ride, I just got to do a bit more practice on my own. I've already had a Harley outrun me because I missed a shift though I could've sworn I definitely kicked it up a gear but eh, guess that kind of mistake just happens? lol
