With MotoGP back on US soil, Ben Spies was once again at the racetrack. The Texan traveled to Laguna Seca to support his Ignite Pramac team, and while he was there, he talked to the press about his recovery, and the state of his injury. Afterwards, the Pramac team issued the following press release:

Spies nearly ready to return to action

After a lengthy absence from the Ignite Pramac Racing Team garage, Ben Spies today made an appearance at the Laguna Seca circuit and confirmed that he will return to the championship from the Indianapolis race (August 16-18) onwards.
