About using a US-based Mapping for any fuel-tuner you should know that the 300 also has different ECU's in different countries (WVTA is full power version) and Service Codes can NOT be deleted.

Here's the Info:

ECU Identification
Part Number [A] Specification
21175-0773 WVTA (FULL AB-2), IN
21175-0793 US, CA, CO
21175-0794 AU
21175-0795 BR
21175-0854 CAL

Service Code Erasing
○ When repair has been done, the yellow engine warning indicator light (LED) goes off and service code is not displayed.
But the service codes stored in memory of the ECU are not erased to preserve the problem history.
In this model, the problem history can not be erased.

Full power? Interesting

So if someone wanted a full exhaust system, they would need to get a fuel map that is specific to the type of ECU they have, correct?

However, after fuel mapping, the end effect would be the same, no matter the original ECU model

Am I getting this right?

+1 - yes, you're right.

After I found a Californian map from Bazzaz in the net for the FI-250 (what is more rich than what i use) I thought it would be a good idea to test this, since I only have buttdyno. After changing to this map my bike ran like crap (my 125 scooter was quicker then).
The European map from Leovince is a lil bit better but not in every rpm and with it I had many popping.
After using more then 10 tanks of fuel now my butt is satified with the result after going more lean with my map (I realize having only maybe up to 50% success with my setup without going to dynorun it). Also let me say the best way to feel it is on the handle bars I found out. Now they are nearly free of vibrations and going more rich it's easy to feel them vibrating.

Hans, did you see that India has the WVTA-ECU in the 300 and you could be happy about this?
Now only look and wait for the European ECU-Hackers to get a nice mapping for it, lucky rider you.

Thanks for the info Roland. I have not been on my 300 for 2 months now so I'm just looking to get back in the saddle and start riding. Also, I'm not modding this bike too much so I get a good resale for it eventually. My modded babe is the 250 and it'll remain that way for a while yet...

To show you what WVTA compared to the US-Model means for the Ninja ZX-6R year 2013 you can take a look to the corresponding side from the service manual of the 636 (what doesn't mean that it must be the same with the Ninja 300).

In addition to this information:
Partnumber Country
21175-0890 TH

Also important to know that the ECU 21175-0793 (US, CA, CO) in contrary to others is programmed to work without O2-Sensor (but which looks like that it is the reference for US-based fuel-mappings)!
So always take care to have an exact mapping that fits your version of the ECU, since wrong settings can harm your engine.

Some more info about the ECU's for ya:

The US and UK ECU's both have the same secondary throttle position map

The US ECU 21175-0793 has max timing from 11,500-14,000rpm which is 32.9*
The UK ECU 21175-0773 has max timing from 11,500-14,000rpm which is 30.7*

The US ECU has a rev limiter of 13,000 where the UK has 12,650

My tuning software only has those two ECU's and then the Cali ECU's which have the same parameters as the Europe/Australia 21175-0773 ECU's

so it looks like they kill a little bit of timing and RPM's

Also the fuel looks almost the same but only about .5% difference.

Maybe that will be useful to some of you guys!
