View Full Version : Slip on exhaust performance? mista350z March 2nd, 2009, 02:42 PM If I add a slip on yoshimura exhaust will it do anything besides sound better? as in will I notice any performance increase or reduced low end performance? kkim March 2nd, 2009, 02:47 PM mostly for sound. The low end might suffer a bit as the lower back pressure by the slip on would make the bike run even leaner at the bottom end, which it already does, stock. shimming the needles will get you power on the bottom end once you are completed with your exhaust/intake selections. mista350z March 2nd, 2009, 02:57 PM Thanks Kelly. If I just want to add the slip on for sound and looks. Will It affect the performance tremendously or can I live with it? kkim March 2nd, 2009, 02:58 PM what does the manufacturer say about their slip on and jetting? mista350z March 2nd, 2009, 02:59 PM huh? I am a complete noob. kkim March 2nd, 2009, 03:06 PM Do they recommend you do anything to the bikes jetting(fuel mixture) if you install their slipon? Most manufactures will have the installation instructions posted somewhere on their website. I suggest you read the product installation instructions and see what they recommend as far as having to adjust your jetting to compensate for their slip on. |
