Rtd August 11th, 2013, 11:07 AM Just picked up a 250 with minor damage for my wife. I plan on getting it fixed up and ready to go for next season. I currently own 1/2 dozen bikes at the moment and have been riding for years. Seems like there is quite a bit of knowledge on this site.

It is, I was originally going to build her an old air cooled RD 350 with modern electronics and carbs but the kickstart only was going to be a problem. This 250 will be an easier bike to ride anyways. I'll build the RD for myself one of these days.

Depends on the year, normally May to October but I've ridden as early as March and into December.

I ride in 20 degree wether as well however when I do it, it's on a snowmobile. I've also ridden quite a bit on ice with studded tires.

Snow and freezing weather is a given here, I've never seen a Christmas without snow, some years are pretty thin but there has always been snow.
BTW..How's the weather in TN this week? I'm headed to Nashville for business on Wednesday
